Try Ringette! Sept 12th
Event: Burnaby New West Introduction to Ringette
Date: Sept 12, 2015 @ 315 pm
Location: Moody Park Arena, 701 8th Ave, New Westminster
For youth ages 4 – 14. Come join members of the Burnaby New West Ringette Association and learn how to play this FUN sport we all love! This free event is open to all who want to try Ringette. Beginner skaters are welcome! All you need to bring are some warm clothes and gloves. Protective padding is recommended so if you have elbow or knee pads please bring them along. Free skate and helmet rentals will be available at the skate shop. Please arrive approximately 15-20 minutes before the ice time so equipment can be fitted properly. Please note all participants will need a waiver signed by their parent/guardian prior to getting on the ice. Pre-registration for the event is required. Royal City Farmers Market First Annual Harvest Festival – Sunday September 13th
RCFM is hosting it’s first annual Harvest Festival Event! This event is fun for the whole family with lots of kid friendly activities and food. The event will be held at Pacific Breeze Winery (#6-320 Stewardson Way, New Westminster, British Columbia) from 11am – 3pm on Sunday September 13th.
Entry will be by donation and activities will include:

Inspired by the Fraser, RiverFest is a free family-friendly festival that consists of art, entertaining interactive activities, historical, environment and conservation exhibits, tours of the Fraser River, the famous Lucille Johnstone Work Boat and live music overlooking the beautiful Fraser River in New Westminster.

The Parent Support Program at Cameray Child and Family Services Presents:
Family Literacy Circle at Centennial Community Centre – During this 8-week series, you and your child will enjoy songs, rhymes, and stories, which promote literacy and reading at home. A special incentive is that for every 10 books you read with your child at home, we will GIVE you 1 one free NEW book for you to keep (up to a maximum of 5 books for the duration of the series). Join us for this very special program. By the end of the 8 weeks, you could have 5 brand new free books for you to read at home and treasure for the years to come! « Please note that priority registration for this group will be given to New Westminster residents.

Where: Centennial Community Centre (65 E Sixth Ave. New Westminster)
