Cameray Parenting Workshops at Olivet in October

Cameray Centre is offering two great parenting series at Olivet Church, starting in October!

These are FREE groups for New Westminster families with children ages 0-5.  We also provide free childcare, snacks, and bus tickets for participating families. Please email pspgroupsignup@hotmail.com to register.

Make and Play at River Market Oct 7 @ 10am

Make + Play, Wednesday, October 7 10am to 11am at River Market

Make + Play Description:

Make + Play provides a creative experience for children ages 2–5. Each class will begin with a story and that story will inspire the craft and play for the day. From painting to pottery and screen printing to string art, Make + Play offers a wide range of crafty activities. Meet local children’s authors, enjoy mini concerts from local musicians and stretch it out with some kid-friendly yoga.

Each class will offer something new and totally fun!

Grab a pillow to sit on and join us for a fun story that celebrates the special someone that is you!

Following the story, kids and and their parents (or caregivers) can jump in, get crafty and create a Collaged Character. Our table of funky craft supplies will be stocked with fabrics, snippets, ribbons and lots of other bits and pieces. Each child will get a turn at the table to fill up their craft bowl. They can then start creating their very own collaged character that represents them!

Homecoming 2015! Sept 25th

Hyacks and Key West Ford invite you to Homecoming 2015 this Friday, Sept 25th at Mercer Stadium. The event kicks off with the pre-game party at 4:30 pm, which includes the Save On Foods Family Fun Zone. The big game starts at 7:30 pm, with the Hyacks taking on GW Graham.  NWSS Marching Band will be performing at halftime, CTV will be airing their sportscast live from Mercer Stadium, and you can also win a car courtesy of Key West Ford. The pre-game parachutists and post-game fireworks show will also be there.

Community Kitchens in Sapperton Sept-Nov

Come and spend a couple of hours learning some healthy fall recipes. Lets find out what’s in season and make use of the wide variety of fruits and vegetables which are available right now. Its time to settle in with warm and comforting recipes that we all love at this time of the year.

This workshop is available to parents, seniors and anyone who are interested in healthy eating!

Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Tiny Tots Concert Series at the Anvil Centre!

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra will be bringing its Tiny Tots concert series to the Anvil Centre this fall and winter! The 4-concert VSO Tiny Tots series features professional musicians and music educators Let Your Music Shine with Lisa and Linda in their own musical presentations for the little ones, from toddlers to age four or five.
