Exploring the Impossible with magician Sheldon Casavant

A free performance and workshop for kids and families!

Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 11am & 1pm (2 sessions)

Sheldon’s magic show is light-hearted and highly interactive. Objects will appear, disappear, and even float in the air. Magic is traditionally passed on from magician to magician, so Sheldon will even teach the secrets of some magic tricks to those in attendance. Sheldon’s contemporary style of magic has been appreciated around the world, from Canada to Japan. Free! No pre-registration necessary. Ideal for kids 5 and up, but all are welcome!

New West Neighborhood Small Grants!

Need money for the neighbourhood barbeque you’ve been hoping to organize? Do neighbours in your area need to reach out to the new residents? Or, are you trying to create more visual identity in your neighbourhood? Or maybe to start that community garden you’ve always dream of?

Great news! the Neighbourhood Small Grants program is growing! Learn more about this year’s program on Vancouver Foundation website (type Neighbourhood Small Grants Program).

Remember June 30th is the deadline to apply for a grant this year, and share this post with your friends.

Remember, you could use this money to organize a cultural event, conduct a workshop, or plan a street party–these are just a few ideas that could receive funding!

To apply or find more information about this program go to: http://www.neighbourhoodsmallgrants.ca/new-westminster

Vancouver Foundation has designated money for that in the City of New Westminster, and we want you and your community groups to apply for it!!
