The Community Coordination For Womens Safety in New Westminster is undertaking the “Purple Lights Project” this year again from April 15-28, 2012 (Prevention of Violence Against Women Week (April 15 to 21) and Victims of Crime Awareness Week (April 22 to 28).

 

The goal of the Purple Light Project is to have all residents/businesses shine a purple light on every front porch or hang a string of purple lights in every business window to send the message that “Domestic Violence Has NO Place In Our Community”.   The outcome of Purple Light Nights™ is to increase the awareness of domestic violence issues and it’s affect upon children and families.

  

We will be having a candle-light vigil April 16th at 7pm at City Hall.
